Finalists for the West Australian Country Music Awards presented by LiveLighter have been announced with eight categories and introducing the people’s choice category.

The music-loving public can now vote for their favourite artist or group to win the 2018 People’s Choice Award for the WA Country Music Awards.

The awards have been a staple part of the Boyup Brook Country Music Festival for 33 years.

Some of the former winners have used the win to expand their musical career, including Codee Lee, Jonny Taylor, Pete Byfirld, Helen Townsend and Sharmain Kendricks.
