Perup woman found guilty of cannabis possession

A Perup woman has been fined $1400 after being found twice to have possessed cannabis along with associated drug paraphernalia. Sonya Hull, 56, faced Manjimup Magistrates Court having admitted two charges of possessing prohibited drugs and two of possessing drug paraphernalia. The court was told that on December 4, Hull was stopped at 3.45pm while driving a white Ford ute when police found and seized four grams of cannabis, found in two small bags, and a silver metal pipe with cannabis residue. And a police search at Ms Hull’s property in Perup on December 16 resulted in two grams of cannabis and a white bucket with a mouthpiece being found and seized. Magistrate Joanne Andretich mentioned Ms Hull’s record of driving and illicit drug charges, with the last conviction being in February 2019. She fined her $1400 fine, plus court costs of $264.30, and ordered that the drugs be destroyed.
