Police calling on information into double fatality crash

Two people died in a crash in Balingup on South Western Highway on Friday afternoon.

About 4.50pm, a 40-year-old male driver of a Holden Cruze heading north and a 76-year-old female rear passenger of the Toyota Camry heading south both received critical injuries and died at the scene when the cars collided.

Both cars were travelling in their respective overtaking lanes when they crashed.

The 72-year-old female driver of the Camry and two passengers, a 76-year-old woman and a 79-year-old woman, were rushed to Bunbury Hospital before being airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital.

Major crash investigators are looking for anyone who saw the crash, or the Toyota Camry and Holden Cruze in the area before the incident.

Police are also calling on anyone in the area at the time of the crash who has dashcam footage to come forward.
