Rescheduled concert goes off without a hitch

A concert that was forced to be rescheduled due to a raging bushfire in Bridgetown has gone off without a hitch over the weekend. Two acts — Simon and Tammy London, and the Nomadics — rocked Bridgetown on Saturday night in front of a lively crowd at the Bridgetown Pottery Restaurant. The concert was originally scheduled to take place on February 5, however a massive bushfire north of the town forced the concert to be abandoned. Pip Mills, owner of the establishment, expressed her deepest thanks to both musical acts for returning to Bridgetown so soon after the fire and helping put on the show. The Nomadics, which comprises David Mann and Bec Schofield, opened the evening with a song penned in memory of an Indigenous Elder from the Augusta area, where the pair are from. Also featuring on the night was a Bridgetown Lions fundraiser, with a sausage sizzle to raise money for the bushfire relief fund.
