Perth beer lovers will be keen to get a taste of Manjimup when a renowned local brewery expands to the city. The South West’s Tall Timbers Pale Ale will soon be on sale across pubs and restaurants in Perth when the company begins distributing north in three weeks. The decision to expand has been in the pipeline for the last couple of months, with plans to eventually sell the award-winning beer to the rest of WA. Tall Timbers’ Adam Burke said the company was the “heartbeat” of the local hospitality scene and was a staple of Manjimup’s developing agritourism culture. “First and foremost, we want to put our brewery and hospitality venues on the map,” he said. “Our whole region will benefit from the increase in tourism a sought-after brewery will bring and we are keen to have as many people as possible get down here and see what it’s all about. “In three years, we want to be an established WA brewery and a regular fixture on the shelves and taps Statewide.” Mr Burke said the company would distribute the product to Fremantle and Northbridge and if successful, the move would help show people from outside the region the quality of produce in the Lower South West.
