Clubs that use the Collier Street sporting grounds are urging Manjimup residents to not let their dogs use the grounds as a toilet.

It has become a recurring issue with people allowing their dogs to poo on the grounds.

Warren Women’s Hockey Association president Carol Samsa urged people walking dogs to do the right thing.

“You shouldn’t have to play with poo on the fields,” she said.

“It’s disgusting, so please be respectful and look after your dogs.

“The shire is really good at refilling bag stations, so there is no excuse not to pick up after your dog.”

People are encouraged to either bring their own plastic bags to pick up after their dogs or make use of the bags provided at places throughout town, including the Collier Street sporting grounds.
