A storytelling experience by Alan Hancock will be held at the Nannup Town Hall next month, where audience members will be taken to Nannup 300 years into the future. Alan Hancock will be bringing two performances to the Town Hall on October 7, where he’ll be putting on a 50-minute one-man show providing comedic spoken word in a show about the future involving visions, dreams, nightmares, a word from a crazed clairvoyant and the Grim Reaper. The show is described as having a ‘quirky sense of humour running through it’ with a ‘babble of voices that tell of life in the 280th year of the Ping Dynasty, in the time after the Great Flood, in the age of Green Utopia, when AI took over the galaxy and all the Nannup folk lived happily ever after’. Nannup 2023 follows Mr Hancock’s previous shows — Denmark 2323 and Freo 2323, with the shows prioritising lighthearted satire to explore local issues and show a different perspective on the town in question. Tickets are available through TryBooking.com, with tickets for both the 4pm and 7pm shows priced at $15.
