Catrin Iversen has claimed the Student of the Year award for South Regional TAFE’s Manjimup Campus.

Ms Iversen studied a certificate three in business management and said she was surprised to win the award.

“I was very surprised, I’m very pleased, I didn’t expect it at all really,” she said.

“I thought there were other students who could have won it as well, I think there were really good students nominated and I was very surprised.”

Ms Iversen, pictured, praised the course and the support that she had received from her course supervisor.

“The whole 18 months she provided great support and visited me regularly at my workplace,” she said.

“She was very pleased with my work and I was very happy with her supervision, so that was great.”

South Regional TAFE managing director Sue Lapham paid tribute to Ms Iversen and the nominees’ hard work and dedication.

Other nominees were Jo-anne Hardy, Joanne Burdette, Rosemary Ferrell, Belinda Meehan, Tracey Adam, Ewa Rogulska and Joanne McDonald.
