The Warren Women’s Hockey Association is holding a “Come and Try Hockey” Fun Day at the Collier Street Recreation Grounds on Saturday, April 1.

The fun day will allow boys and girls aged 6-12 interested in hockey to play and learn and will be followed by a sausage sizzle.

Hockey is a Saturday sport, starting at 11am.

All games are held in Manjimup at the Collier Street Recreation Grounds, with four different leagues and four clubs: Cougars, Mixjuz, Nationals and Violet Femmes, with players coming from Greenbushes in the north through to Northcliffe in the south.

Minkey Hockey is for boys and girls six and seven years old, while C-grade is boys and girls aged 8-11.

Junior girls moving up the grades and mature women starting hockey for the first time or returning to the sport after having kids play B grade, while A grade is for more experienced junior and senior players.

The Warren Women’s Hockey Association is a club for all ages, from young kids or adults just picking up a stick for the first time, to masters who have been playing for years, and all ages and abilities in between.

The association welcomes people who have never played before looking to start hockey for fun, friendship and fitness.
