Christmas is in the air and the Manjimup-Bridgetown Times is encouraging businesses to get into the festive spirit.

The annual Best Dressed Christmas or Cherry Window competition is now on and the Times will provide $500 worth of advertising to the winning front window display.

Manjimup-Bridgetown Times branch manager Petula Holland said she enjoyed the competition because it encouraged businesses to get into the Christmas spirit.

“It’s wonderful to see how the businesses choose to decorate their windows each year,” she said.

“When we’re judging, we look at originality, the festive spirit and/or the celebration of cherries.”

Businesses that would like to participate in the competition need to have their window decorated by December 12.

The winner will then be announced during the Manjimup Cherry Festival on December 14.

“I wish all the businesses luck and I can’t wait to see what they come up with,” Mrs Holland said.
