Staff given the all-clear after chemical spill at northern suburbs pool

A northern suburbs leisure centre is expected to reopen shortly, hours after a chlorine spill.
Two staff were taken to hospital for checks and the Craigie Leisure Centre pool was evacuated, after the incident at about 1pm on Friday.
Joondalup mayor Daniel Kingston said the centre has since been given the all-clear.
“Thanks to the quick actions of our staff there was no risk to visitors,” he said.
“The safety of our staff and customers remains our highest priority. We have worked hard with the emergency services to ensure we can reopen the facility from 3pm today and welcome customers back safely”.
Two female staff were taken to Royal Perth Hospital as a precaution, and were reported to be in a stable condition.
