MNA: Another win for Magpies and a forced draw due to court conditions made for an eventful week of netball

The Magpies walked away with another win in round seven of the Manjimup Netball Association Pool 1 season after defeating Magic 56-42 on Monday. Magic had the upper hand in the first quarter, finishing one point in front, 11-10. Notably, Caitlyn Wheatley and Payten Della had some great shots on goal and impressive rebound dominance. However, the Magpies took the lead a mere two minutes into the second quarter after Casey Cole and Adele East began to take control in defence. The Magpies’ margin only continued to increase as the game progressed, with the final score reflecting the incredible passing and accurate shooting skills of the top-of-the-ladder side. In unfortunate news, the other Pool 1 game was called off by the umpires after quarter-time due to poor court conditions, leaving the South West Electrics and Vixens with a draw. SWE were up by four points before the game ended prematurely, with some notable mid-court performances helping to create the margin. In Pool 2, Cosmos defeated Globetrotters by two points, 33-31, while Independents defeated Tigers 45-31.
