The Shire of Manjimup has announced that pet registrations are now overdue and notices will be issued in the coming weeks via mail.

Rangers will soon be making personal contact with any residents who have not renewed their pet’s registration.

Manjimup Shire president Paul Omodei said if pet owners failed to register their dog or cat, they may be issued with an infringement notice and will still be liable for the cost of the registration.

All dogs aged over three months must be registered and microchipped and all cats aged over six months must be registered, sterilised and microchipped.

Pets can be registered in the Shire of Manjimup for life, three years or one year.

The Shire of Manjimup also recommends updating registration details, including change of address and contact numbers.

Renewal notices were mailed out to pet owners in October.
