A South West environmental group with a holistic approach to farming and biodiversity will showcase its latest projects at a community forum and is keen to hear what other projects residents think it should focus on.

The Leschenault Catchment Council’s community forum, which will be held at the Donnybrook Hotel, is aimed at engaging with people interested in protecting and rehabilitating their land, water and biodiversity health.

The event will showcase the group’s recent projects and gather feedback from the community interested in becoming involved in protecting, rehabilitating and restoring the region’s at-risk environment.

Information gathered from the evening will be used as part of the group’s annual business planning to identify priority actions for the short to medium term.

Group chair Adrian Azzari-Colley said the event was open to anyone interested in becoming involved.

“If you are interested in your local environment and want to be part of any local action please come along and share your views and even join the LCC which doesn’t cost anything except your enthusiasm and commitment,” he said.

The community forum will be held on September 13 at the Donnybrook Hotel at 5.30pm with light refreshments to follow.

More details can be found at www.leschenaultcc.org.au or by contacting the group on reception@leschenaultcc.org.au or 0458 960 576.

RSVPs are essential for catering purposes and for COVID safety requirements.
