2023 Golden Guitar winners Brooke McClymont and Adam Eckersley to headline Boyup Brook Country Music Festival

The Boyup Brook Country Music Festival has announced the line-up for the 2023 festival, taking place on the weekend of February 17 to February 19. Three-time 2023 Golden Guitar winners Brooke McClymont and Adam Eckersley will be headlining, with The Bushwackers and the award-winning Codee-Lee being two of more than 50 WA artists in the line-up. Other notable artists in the line-up include 2022 WA Country Music Awards People’s Choice winner Kate Hindle and Best Group of the Year winners The Little Lord Street Band. Country Music Club of Boyup Brook president Daly Winter said the return of the festival after two years of cancellations promised to impress. “The wait is finally over, we’re thrilled to be in our final stages of preparations and announce our full line-up and festival program, which includes an impressive collection of amazing music and entertainment for an experience to remember,” he said. “There’s something for everyone in our three-day festival program, which is jam-packed full of WA country fun, including 25 hours of tunes at the Music Park and an explosion of colour and energy at Saturday’s Lotterywest Street Carnival with buskers and roving performers.” He said the markets would offer local goods for those attending in a new location opposite the Music Park with a new market stage with live performances. “Always a family favourite are the activities for kids, which this year includes stilt walking and rock climbing as well as roving entertainment by the Freedom Fairies and Top of the Stairs Puppets performances,” he said. The Gold Buckle Awards, one of WA’s top country music industry events, will open the three-day festival on Friday night, with the WA Country Music Awards winners announced at a special ceremony. Sunday will open with WA’s biggest Bush Poets Breakfast, which will be full of entertaining performances. Other planned activities include the Ute and Truck Muster on Saturday morning, the Boyup Brook Art Awards and Exhibition and a range of workshops from bootscootin’ and spoons playing to industry insights. Mr Winter said the weekend was going to be full of incredible performances, delicious food and a great crowd. “Set along the banks of the picturesque Blackwood River, the Boyup Brook Country Music Festival is one of Australia’s longest running country music festivals and will this year celebrate its 36th anniversary,” he said.
