The Braves beat Wolves by 42 points when the two teams went head-to-head for the second time this season. The Braves and the Wolves played at the Bridgetown Leisure Centre on Tuesday night, with both teams coming off losses in round eight after Wolves lost by 30 points to Cyclones, while Braves lost by five points to Mixtape. The last time the two teams played each other was in round two, when Braves won by 27 points, meaning Wolves had a chance at redemption with this match. The Braves put on a strong game, and the Wolves had their work cut out for them throughout. Although the Wolves scored several points and put on a show of strong defence at times, they were no match for Braves, who quickly took the lead and widened it, winning the clash 58-16. In the other men’s matches, Mixtape won by default against Blackballers, who forfeited; Lions beat Royals 37-30; and Warriors defeated Cyclones 47-17. In the women’s matches, Sharks beat Boyup Brook 51-11; Saints Women forfeited to Cyclones; and Leopards beat Mavericks 30-9.
