Excitement builds for music festival
More than 10,000 eager music lovers are ‘treble-ing’ with excitement ahead of the 34th annual Boyup Brook Country Music Festival this weekend.
Presented by LiveLighter the popular music event will bring one of Australia’s most successful singer-songwriters, Beccy Cole, to town as a star attraction.
With 10 Golden Guitars to her name, Cole also adds multiple ARIA Top 10 and Top 40 mainstream albums and more than a dozen No.1 Australian country singles to her list of achievements.
Cole said she was thrilled to be headlining WA’s biggest country music festival.
“I’m so excited to be performing at the 2019 Boyup Brook Country Music Festival,” Cole said
“This festival is set in one of the most beautiful places in Australia and has a true country music ‘good time’ feel.”
Festival music director Sharon Winter said attendees would be spoilt for choice, with a mixture of music, art and culture ensuring there is something to interest everyone.
“We are thrilled to once again offer a top line-up, as part of the biggest event on the Western Australian country music calendar,” Winter said.
The festival will also feature performances from artists including Amber Joy Poulton, Travellin’ Still: The Songs of Slim Dusty with Pete Denahy and the Travelling Country Band, Band of Mates, and Bennett, Bowtell and Urquhart, Patrick McMahon and The Buckleys and many more.
The program also includes the annual Ute and Truck Muster which will take place on Saturday with more than $10,000 worth of prizes up for grabs.
