Rodeo races to Boyup Brook over the weekend with bull riding and cattle wrangling taking centre stage
Bucking bulls and cantering cowboys are just some of the sights to be seen in Boyup Brook this weekend with the rodeo travelling to town.
The rodeo is bucking off at the Harvey Dickson Country Music Centre this weekend with shindigs, live music and cattle wrangling some of the activities available.
The weekend sets off on March 30 with a sold-out Saturday night shindig planned for 5.30pm at Rosie’s Kitchen.
On Sunday, the action shifts into next gear, with the rodeo grounds opening at 8am with food stalls, junior rodeo and other events hitting the field.
At 2pm the rodeo kicks off properly with cowpoke wrangling cattle taking the main stage until 5.30pm.
After the rodeo wraps, the ground will be transformed into a festival with performances from the Bradley Hall Band, Scarlet’s Way and Renegade playing until midnight.
To facilitate the travel of tourists to the town, weekend camping passes are available for anyone visiting with camping from Thursday to Sunday night available from a single camping pass.
Camping passes are $30 per person.
Adult tickets for the rodeo are $55, with pensioners and children getting in for $30.
