Round 9 of LSWFL season marked as a special Think Mental Health event

This weekend the Lower South West will host a special Think Mental Health round to raise awareness around mental health and promote the Think Mental Health program. In the round, promotion for the mental health organisation will be on show with public announcements before each match and signage at the different football venues. The long weekend saw a rest for the local teams, with no games scheduled. Ladder leaders Boyup Brook and Kojonup will face off at Boyup Brook’s home ground on Boyup Brook Oval, at 1.45pm on Saturday. Boyup Brook is coming off a 51-point loss against the Imperials in Round 8, while Kojonup bounces back from two weeks off. Manjimup teams the Tigers and Deanmill will go head-to-head at the Tigers’ home ground, Rea Park, at 2:05pm on Saturday. The Tigers are looking to secure their first win of the season, while Deanmill celebrated a 46-point win against the Southerners during Round 8. The Southerners and the Imperials will play off in Pemberton at 2:45pm, with both teams wanting to add a win to their belt and place higher on the ladder. The Southerners are in sixth spot and the Imperials are fourth.
