WBCA: Keenan Wilson hundred leads Manjimup to massive win over Northcliffe

A phenomenal hundred from Manjimup’s Keenan Wilson has hauled his side to a dominant 171-run win over Northcliffe on Collier Street Sporting Complex’s turf wicket. Bowling first, Northcliffe looked in great shape to pick up their first win of the season when they quickly reduced Manjimup to 8-65, with Ashley Gunning (4-39 from 8.4 overs) and Mason Abbott (3-35 from 9 overs) on fire with the ball. Walking out at No.9 in his first game of the season, Wilson took to the bowlers with belligerence, belting a brilliant 147 from 85 balls, including 17 fours and five sixes. He received great support from Luke Murphy (73 from 67 balls), with the pair’s 192-run ninth wicket stand boosting their side’s total to an imposing 260 from 44.4 overs. In reply, only Dean McGregor (25 from 21 balls) and Abbott (18 from 34 balls) reached double figures for Northcliffe as they struggled to get going in pursuit of their target, eventually being bowled out for 89 in 25.4 overs. Captain Anthony Femia led the way for Manjimup with 3-4 from his 4 overs, while Wilson (1-10 from 3 overs) also picked up a wicket to cap off his unbelievable day.
