AFL: Jye Amiss has spearheaded another sound western derby victory for Fremantle.

The men in purple were boosted by the returns of Hayden Young and Michael Frederick while former Pie Mason Cox made a strong debut for the Dockers.

West Coast lost Deven Robertson and Jack Graham to injury but superstar Elliot Yeo and Milan Murdock replaced them with aplomb.

But it was not enough for the Eagles to overcome a classy Dockers outfit.

Recap all the action in our blog.

That’s a wrap

Another derby comes to an end and Fremantle have established themselves in the top two and have Carlton at home next week to start building a platform for a flag tilt.

Meanwhile, West Coast have plenty of thinking to do at the selection table ahead of a winnable road game against St Kilda.

Until next week, farewell!

Longmuir praises Amiss

Fremantle forward Jye Amiss’ dominant five-goal haul during Sunday’s western derby just one week after his clutch goal against Collingwood was a superb reward for his efforts over many years, according to coach Justin Longmuir.

Eagles changes

Jobe Shanahan could be in for a major change after West Coast’s defense was out-sized and out-muscled on Sunday.

Career night

Jye Amiss had a derby to remember.

Not only did he equal his career-high in goals with five, but he broke Matthew Pavlich’s record for most marks inside 50 by a Docker with nine.

A great rewarded for his hard work to re-find his form in recent weeks.

McQualter talks

It’s a pretty familiar feel for the Eagles coach after a strong first half turned into a bitter second-half fade.

ICYMI

Jordan Clark was a worthy medal winner after a superb performance in the derby.
