AFL: Fremantle make their first trip to Melbourne in red-hot form as they aim for a seventh straight victory against a revamped Western Bulldogs line-up.

The Dockers have not won seven on the trot since 2015, but the Bulldogs will hope Tim English’s comeback can help them out of their tailspin sparked by an injury crisis.

These two sides played out a thriller in the final round of last season, and it should be another cracking prime time clash.

We’re back underway

Bontempelli has another touch and finds McNeil on the wing who then miskicks to turn the ball over with a last disposal free kick.

Murphy Reid on the siren!

A dagger from the Dockers sensation.

A late stoppage on the wing and Bolton surges away and hits Reid who’s on the run and launches over the head of Bontempelli to kick a sensational goal.

Brings the margin back to 14 points.

Bontempelli was quiter that quarter and Will Lewis missed a very gettable shot late before Reid burned them the other way

Luke Jackson has not been able to influence outside of his goal but Bolton is looking dynamic.

Big second half coming up.

Erasmus gives Freo a vital goal

A floating kick from defensive 50 somehow finds Luke Jackson on the wing he launches inside 50.

It spills from the contest and Jye Amiss has space out the back and hits Erasmus in the goal square, who puts through his first.

This is a bizarre game

There’s fumbles, overuse of the handball and a lot of loose ball just pinging about.

But Fremantle are getting sucked into to playing too quickly to try and match the Bulldogs, who get a chain of handballs together as Lathaim Vandameer gets one from the goal square.

Dudley sets up Switta’s second

Worner finally provides some run off half-back after a smart kick by Jordan Clark to switch the play.

Dudley gets the ball in the pocket and lowers the eyes to see Switta and kick across the body to find him.

Switkowski converts his second to get the margin back to 19-points.

West has a second

Bulldogs have responded to Freo’s early burst.

They continue to take it on and English wins the tap from the stoppage insdie 50 and West has space after fending off Worner to snap his second.

Margin back to 25 points.

Bont hits back

Disposal no.16 three minutes inton the second quarter gives him his first goal.

He burns Dudley who’s stuck on him in defence and leads perfectly into space to take an uncontested mark.

Frederick makes it two in a row

Fremantle have won both centre clearances this quarter and both times they’ve immediately gone inside 50.

Bolton shoots across the face and it comes off hands back into the middle where Frederick gets on the loose ball and snaps his first.

Dudley’s on the board

He cops a bump as he goes for the loose ball and he could have easily been concussed.

Tough on the Bulldogs defender who was also going for the ball but it goes under him as Dudley crashes into him.

He works it back and gives the Dockers the perfect start.
