Anzac Day Driveway tributes
Anzac Day will have a different look this year but people are still being asked to commemorate from the safety of their homes.
On Saturday, people around the country are expected to stand in their driveways from 6am to honour the spirit of Anzac Day.
Manjimup RSL president Rex Brown said this year’s change — as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic — was something that people had to grin and bear.
“We’re certainly encouraging people to recognise Anzac Day in this different way,” he said.
“When I found out about the cancellation, I was annoyed, because we already had the memorial organised.
“But now I’m glad that it has been cancelled for people’s safety.”
Mr Brown said he looked forward to 2021.
