The Donnybrook Recreation Centre has been recognised among some of Western Australia’s leading community facilities after being nominated for facility of the year in the 2026 WA Aquatic and Recreation Industry Awards.

The centre announced the nomination on social media, saying it was a wonderful recognition of the commitment, passion and hard work behind the facility.

A centre spokesperson acknowledged the contribution of staff, instructors, volunteers, sporting clubs, user groups and patrons.

“Every day, we strive to provide a safe, inclusive and enjoyable space where people of all ages can connect, stay active and improve their health and wellbeing,” the spokesperson said.

“Being recognised alongside leading facilities across Western Australia is a testament to the strong community spirit that makes Donnybrook such a special place.”

The winners will be announced at the WA Aquatic and Recreation Industry Awards in August.
